Application process:
Apply halfway through intern year with essay stating prior experience and plans for global health in their career; must be in good standing in intern year
Program elements:
Monthly lecture series/journal club; access to tropical medicine course with mandatory parasitology (module 3) in July PGY3; month long travel during PGY2 and again in PGY3 to same site, must develop research or QI project; grand rounds or campus wide talk during PGY 3 on their experience
Financial support:
Department stimulus funds, private donations, fundraising
Faculty time allotted:
Up to 20 days allowed for international rotation precepting
